Golden Dragon Restaurant opened in Dubai on 14th October 1976, by Mr. K. M. Bhatia during which time Chinese cuisine was alien and unheard of. The restaurant was originally located on the Khalid Bin Walid Street, Bur Dubai, until it re-located to its present premises on the Trade Centre Road during 1997.

During the past 32 years, the restaurant has grown leaps and bounds earning the reputation as being one of the best in the hospitality industry specializing in Cantonese and Szechuan style Chinese cuisine. The restaurant was adjudged the best Chinese restaurant and runner-up for best stand-alone restaurant by Khaleej Times, an English daily, reader’s survey in April 1999.

The Trade Centre Road outlet presently has a seating capacity of approx. 140 persons, including 4 (four) private rooms offering discreet and secluded dining experience. Rest other 2 outlets are located within dedicated food-court offering quick meals. We have staff strength of 55 (fifty five) trained and experienced personnel always ready to offer their best service to our clients.

Since the beginning of the new millennium our plans to expand our operations given by our high reputation with service and quality in the hospitality industry, we opened an outlet in Dub@i Internet City, located in building no. 3, on 21st March 2001. We cater to clientele from Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City, American University of Dubai, Dubai Marina residential towers, TECOM villas, Dubai Media City Executive Offices, Loft Apartments, Knowledge Village and EMAAR Head Office.

During October 2002, we set up an outlet in Jebel Ali Food Court (Jebel Ali Free Zone), near LOB 15/16/17 & next to gate no. 4, and opened the outlet on 15th April 2003. We have access to about 3000 companies in the Free zone as well as seamen from the various vessels calling at Jebel Ali Port.

During December 2008, we set up an outlet inside Mayfair Hotel, Deira, located on ground floor opposite to Coffee Shop. Mayfair Hotel, a 4 star property, is located behind Pic N Save S/m & Emirates Bank International, Al Maktoum Street, Deira. The Hotel is also conveniently located between Al Maktoum & Riqa Street. We opened this outlet on 1st February 2008.

Golden Dragon is proud to be associated with Chaîne Des Rôtisseurs, an international renowned gastronomical society founded in Paris, France in 1950. The Chaîne is devoted to the promoting fine dining and preserving the camaraderie and pleasures of the table. The Chaîne is also dedicated to bringing together professional and non-professional members from around the world who appreciate wine, cuisine and fine dining.

From the aforesaid, it is evident that Golden Dragon Restaurant has truly maintained its reputation as being one of the best in hospitality industry.
